Getting A Little Chilly In Your Workshop?
Maybe it’s time to install a little heater.
If you have gas in your garage a gas heater is probably the right solution.
In this video you’ll watch how to hang the heater and run the vent through the roof. Keep a 1″ clearance between the vent pipe and anything combustible.
Up on the roof you should also use high temp silicon to caulk the storm collar to the vent pipe.

It is usually better to spread the glue out with a roller to get even glue coverage. Using a scrap piece of wood will work if you don’t have a glue roller.

Despite their expense stone counter tops are not maintenance free like their plaster cousins.
There are of course many different types of stone. Some are too porous or absorbent to be used for counters.
But all stone absorbs liquids, so you have to prevent this or slow it down by applying products that fill those voids.

Do you know the right drill press speed for what you are doing?
The speed does make a huge difference for various tasks and sizes of drill bits and other accessories.
Most of us can’t remember this information. So it is a good idea to have a drill press speed chart some where close to the drill press.
Most drill press motors have a stepped pulley, with a belt driving another stepped pulley on the quill of the drill press.
To change the speed it is a simple matter of moving the belt up or down on the pulleys.

It’s possible to repair small damaged spots in a vinyl floor.
But you need some of the left over pieces from when the floor was installed.
I usually hide such repair material in a place where they won’t get thrown away such as in the joists in the basement or up in the attic.
