I think biscuit joinery has several advantages over the fad today of pocket screw joinery.
The big advantage is that the biscuits are hidden in the joint, there are no screw holes to hide or fill.
I guess It’s a quality issue. Lower quality – use pocket screws. Medium quarity – use biscuits. High quality – use traditional joinery.
