Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture (raising fish) and hydrophonics ( growing plants in water). The fish and plants have a natural beneficial relationship. The poop from the fish turns into nitrates and ammonia which becomes the nutrients for the plants. As the plant use these nutrients the water becomes clean for the fish.
