How to Soundproof A Ceiling With Resilient Channel

Do You Want To Deaden The Sound Traveling Through The Floors In your House?


Using resilient channel or sound bar is one way of doing just that.


Sound travels through a solid material such as a floor joist very easily. Drywall fastened directly to the joist transmits that sound to the space below.


Add sound bar to the ceiling joists and you break that solid material path thus reducing the sound transferred.
